A MOST UNUSUAL FAC-RATED .22 GOOD QUALITY PRE-CHARGED PNEUMATIC AIR-RIFLE, UNSIGNED, no visible serial number,
probably manufactured in the 1960's from the body of a Martini-Henry service rifle and apparently based on Giffard's Patent, with blued round 24 1/2in. barrel, dove-tailed fore-sight, dove-tail for rear-sight blanked off, modified Martini-Henry slab-sided receiver with ingenious rotating breech-block operated via the under-lever added to top of receiver, folding aperture sight behind the breech, chequered walnut butt-stock with iron heel-plate, colour-hardened detachable air-reservoir of Giffard type mounted below the barrel supported by a chequered walnut splinter fore-end, untested
